Paxton Carnegie Library

‚ÄčThe Paxton Carnegie Library offers Preschool Story Time on Thursdays at 10am, during the regular school year.  Children and their parents, grandparents, or caregivers are invited to join us each week for stories, songs, and crafts. Preschool Story Time provides a gentle introduction to the library, stories, and reading. There is no registration required, and walk-ins are always welcome.

Lego Club meets the last Monday of each month, after school from 3:30 to 4:30pm. Machines and Mechanisms is for those in 4th grade and up, with the M & M Kids working in teams to build things with moving parts. Kindergarten through 3rd grade students are welcome to join Building Buddies and do freestyle building with Legos in the children's library. Preschool children are welcome to attend and build with Duplos, accompanied by a parent. No registration is required, and all Lego programs are free.

The library sponsors a Summer Reading Program annually. This is a self-directed program that encourages school-age children to read. The program is free. Registration begins June 1st.
